1. Qualifications for entry
  • Each group may submit no more than one (1) animation.
  • Groups should consist of two (2) to five (5) female students between the ages of 12-20.
  • There is no limit to the number groups registered by each school.
  • Each group is entitled to appoint a teacher/mentor to assist with the project. Mentors MUST be employed by the registering school.

  • All animations will be uploaded to YouTube and submitted to the contest gallery via

  • All submissions will be reviewed by the public and voted on. The Most Popular Animation will be awarded based on number votes acquired.
  • Best animation will be selected by a panel of judges and announced on April 27th, 2017 on Girls in ICT Day.
  • Running time for each submission will be a minimum of 1 minute and maximum 1 minute 30 second animation, including credits.
  • All animations MUST be created using the Scratch Editor and exported and uploaded to YouTube.
  • Animations MUST be original. The use of premade animations is strictly prohibited.
  • Use of any copyrighted audio or video clips, or artwork MUST be credited.
  • Deadline for submissions is 8:00am on April 24th, 2017.
  • Any violation of the Rules and Guidelines is subject to disqualification.

    • How can you use ICT in health care to improve the efficiency of healthcare systems?

Each animation should be based on one (1) of the following themes:

The winning group will be determined by a judging panel based on the following criteria:
